Electives can be clinical and/or academic to encompass the following aspects:
1. Obstetrical trauma: management of obstetrical trauma and in-office endoanal ultrasound performance and interpretation
2. Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) (urogynaecology): diagnosis and management of pelvic floor dysfunction 
3. Medical education: creating patient and/or provider educational resources with the OBGYN Academy
4. Research: conducting research in obstetrical trauma
